How much will it cost to camp?
Rates are posted in several locations that can be accessed from the Home Page. For example, click on “What Sets Us Apart” and a drop down menu appears. Other places you can find rates include “RV’S, Luxury Cabins & More”, “Tents Too”, and “Extended Stay Camping”. Rates differ during peak and low seasons, so check for specials. Rates are for two persons. Additional persons over the age of 5 will generate an additional, nominal fee. Know the number of guests and the dates you wish to camp when you call us and we’ll help you calculate your cost.
How can I get the best value for the dollar?
“Like” us on Facebook for random promotions and discounts. If you are camping two consecutive weekends, ask for the Fuel Saver Special.
Does the nightly rate always apply?
No. If you are staying a week, you can camp for less by requesting the weekly rate. (camp for six days and the seventh night is free) Special rates may not apply during holiday weeks, so consult the rate chart and call us if you have questions. Generally, the longer you camp, the cheaper the nightly rate becomes.
What happens to my deposit if I need to cancel my reservation?
Unfortunately, the first-night stay guarantee is a non-refundable deposit, it covers the cost of us not being able to rent out the site in the event that you need to cancel and we can not fill the site.
However, with proper written notice, we will hold all deposits on credit for a future camping stay within the following 6 months.
For more information on our cancelation policy visit our reservation policies page.
Does Lock 30 Woodlands offer discounts to large groups?
If your group of 10 or more with RVs camps during the spring and fall seasons, we will give you free use of either our furnished clubhouse or pavilion. During peak season, 20 or more with RVs or tent sites can give your group free access to the same. Because we turn away more campers than we can accommodate during summer peak periods, including holidays, we may not be able to accommodate a large group, unless reservations are made up to a year in advance and guaranteed 30 days prior to check-in. Go to “RV’S, Luxury Cabins & More” and “Tents Too”, Group Camping to learn more about group camping and additional ways your group can save money.
What do I need to know about making holiday reservations?
- We strongly reccomend making your reservations as far in advance as possible, especially if you have a site preference or plan on camping with multiple families. Our sites fill up fast on holiday weekends and we want to make sure everyone ends up a happy camper.
- All holiday stays are reserved on the basis of a 3 night minimum for all campers in the party and paid in full in advance.
Why can I not make my camping reservations and pay for it immediately online?
You can request a reservation knowing that we will get back to you within 24 hours. We do not ask for, nor accept, any form of payment online because we’re sensitive to the fact that one in five online consumers were victims of a cybercrime in the last two years. In fact, cybercrime has not declined over the last five years, so rather than subject you to the possibility of online identity theft or phishing, we make personal contact with each of our interested campers. You are under no obligation to book a reservation by merely requesting one. We’re here to answer your questions and provide the best possible service in a timely manner–to assure camper satisfaction.
Do you have camp sites for tents?
Yes. All of our tent sites have water, electric, picnic table, and fire ring. Each site is shaded with parking for up to two vehicles. Not every site is grassy. In fact, most are under pine trees. Sites start at $40 for two people and all rules that apply for RV camping apply to tent camping. Any additional people are $10 each. Children under 5 are free. The same sites that accommodate RV’s are used for tents, but there may be some restrictions regarding where your tent is placed. We do not offer “primitive” camping or camping in passenger vehicles. Tent stays are limited to no more than 7 nights and they are by reservation only.
Do you allow tents on the back of RV Sites?
Yes. Tents can be added to a site already accommodating an RV for an additional $40 (except for premium sites). This cost covers two people staying in the tent, any additional Tent Campers will be $10 each. Children under 5 are free.
How do I coordinate all members RV needs for a group camping trip?
Unless you intend to pay all costs for the sites you are reserving, the head of each household should complete his own reservation request. If we need to contact that particular RV owner, we must have current telephone and/or email address–rather than going through a second party. Within the notes section of your reservation request it helps to reference the group leader’s name, camping group name or even the other surnames of the entire camping party, requesting a section of the park or just adjacent sites. Without a reservation request from each head of household we will not guarantee that every member of your extended camping group will be placed in close proximity.
